Considered one of our favourite off-road automobiles this 12 months at Overland Expo West was a transformed army transport truck, the proprietor of which bought for less than $10,000 after which constructed out himself.
Exterior contributor Jakob Schiller and RV proprietor Tom Strada give us a tour of this burly, drool-inspiring rig on show on the 2017 Overland Expo West. Weighing roughly 30,000lbs (every wheel alone round 450lbs), the transformed RV holds a Cummins ISC 8.3L (6CT) turbo diesel engine with a 5-speed Allison transmission. “I needed to construct an RV that had guts,” says Strada, who was impressed to construct out the car after seeing an identical one at one other conference. The inside includes a full bathe, sink, and cooktop, plus photo voltaic panels and even a placing inexperienced on the rooftop.
